Contract: 10 months - to start ASAP / max 4 weeks notice (with a strong possibility of extension)
Salary: £130k basic (PAYE, paid weekly, within IR35) + benefits
Location: Remote in the London / South East UK regions ONLY
You must be fully clear to work in the UK without the need of relocation/visa sponsorship
About the role:
Our leading Global Mediatech client is looking specifically looking for someone to cover Appeals for account enforcements, i.e. when to take an action on a users / clients account. This is the highest priority area and a seasoned data scientist is required to support both strategically and operationally. You will be working with Engineers, Designers and Product Managers to: Improve the mechanisms that exist to appeal (e.g. Consider account disables, feature limits and lightweight enforcements) / Identify how we meet the needs and expectations of our users and what opportunities there are to improve / Balance reducing harm on the platform with protecting voice and revenue, alongside regulation and cost guardrails and more…
Requirements:
- Ideally you’ll be degree educated or have relevant commercial experience
- You’ll have in-depth knowledge / experience in the following areas - Performing quantitative analysis including data mining on highly complex data sets
- You’ll have a minimum of 10+ years experience within a similar role
- You’ll also have very strong experience of both SQL & Python
- You’ll have: statistical or mathematical software including one of the following: R, SAS, or Matlab / Applied statistics or experimentation, such as A/B testing, in an industry setting / Quantitative analysis techniques, including one of the following: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics
