Senior Tax Accountant – EMEA | 11-Month Contract | Up to €135,000 p.a.
*Remote but you must be based in the Republic of Ireland
Step into a pivotal contract role with one of the world’s most innovative tech brands. Operating in a lean, high-impact EMEA tax team, you’ll handle complex, high-visibility issues spanning direct and indirect tax – from corporation tax to VAT and digital services tax – across multiple jurisdictions.
This isn’t just a compliance role. It’s about influence, risk management, and relationship-building. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders including legal, finance and regional teams. You won’t be crunching every number, but you’ll need the technical depth to spot issues, raise flags, and support the business with smart, timely tax advice.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and oversee EMEA-wide tax compliance (direct and indirect), with a focus on France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and the UK
- Review tax provisions, ensure accuracy and readiness for audit
- Collaborate with global compliance teams (based offshore) and input where required
- Represent the tax function in cross-functional projects and strategy discussions
- Support statutory audit, SOX, and policy development workstreams
Your Must-Haves
- 7+ years’ experience in international tax, ideally with both Big Four and in-house exposure
- CTA or equivalent tax qualification
- Strong understanding of EMEA tax compliance and reporting
- Proven track record in stakeholder engagement across legal, finance, operations
- Self-starter attitude – proactive, not passive
- Experience working with offshore or cross-regional teams
