Programme Management Office (PMO) Director – 2-Year Contract
Our client, a national healthcare leader, is embarking on a transformative journey to revolutionise paediatric healthcare. They are seeking an experienced Programme Management Office (PMO) Director to lead the charge, ensuring the successful delivery of this highly complex, multi-stakeholder programme.
As PMO Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the integration of projects related to healthcare transformation, including capital development, ICT, and operational readiness. You’ll lead a team of project managers, risk analysts, and transition specialists, providing strategic leadership to ensure that the programme is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the PMO across multiple high-profile workstreams, ensuring consistent delivery and reporting across capital, ICT, and operational readiness projects.
- Develop and implement programme management frameworks, tools, and methodologies to standardise project management across the board.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, government bodies, and healthcare professionals, to drive successful project outcomes.
- Provide oversight of project controls, risk management, and budgetary governance, ensuring compliance with defined processes.
- Facilitate regular, timely reporting and performance analysis to enable informed decision-making at the highest levels of the organisation.
- Act as a key liaison, ensuring strong relationships are maintained with all involved stakeholders, from government oversight bodies to healthcare institutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Master’s degree coupled with a recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale, complex programmes in a senior PMO role, ideally within healthcare or the public sector.
- A proven track record in project governance, budgetary control, and risk management in high-pressure environments.
- Expertise with programme management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar, and a strong understanding of integrated planning and project controls.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
